It's been quite a journey over the past six-months at CoinBurp, so we thought it only right to give you an insight into what we've been up to.

Where it all began
Our story starts back in June, when CoinBurp was founded by Pete (CEO), Bipin (COO), and Tom (UX Lead), who has been employing a UX-led process ever since to build an easy, friendly, and fun way to trade cryptocurrency. Six-months on, and we still believe the cryptocurrency landscape is largely dark and intimidating, resulting in a misconception that only the young or technically-minded can enter the market. With this in mind, our long-term goal remains to tackle this misconception head-on in creating a cryptocurrency service for everyone. "But when can I make my first trade!", I hear you cry. Well, we begin beta testing in January, with the view to launch the platform the following month. So, not long now!
We've more than doubled in size since we kicked-off in the summer, with seven team members now on deck. Alongside our three founders, we have a development team consisting of Full-stack Developer; Damian, QA Automation Engineer; Jordan, and freelance Front-end Developer; Zsuzsanna. And on the marketing front, we have Marketing Manager; Darren, who will be joined by a Marketing Lead in the new year. We most recently had our first work social as a 'septet' (a group of seven!), which saw us head out to Bounce; Europe's largest 'Social Ping Pong Club'.
The 'Burping C'
Back in July, we needed a logo that matched our vision, so we collaborated with Gianluca Militello (also known as 'SaintGraphic'); an illustrator based in Milan.
We wanted our logo to be playful, but being a trading platform, we knew the design needed to remain credible and trustworthy. We thought the early iterations were too cartoonish. So, after a quick trip to the dentist, we arrived at our final logo designs, which we first saw in action on the front door of our Devonshire Square office.
Isn't it beautiful. In fact, we like our logo so much, we got into the clothing game. After teaming up with 3rd Rail; a t-shirt printing studio based in London, we produced some of the finest pieces of garms you might ever see. And here they are on some of our beautiful models…
We seem to have ants in our pants here at CoinBurp. After our three-man office in Moorgate became a squashed four, the team set its sights on a move to the newly-built 8 Devonshire Square, which we scouted out in hard hats while its construction was still underway. Although the table tennis table is "not olympic size and that's why I'm not winning" (according to Tom), I think it's safe to say that we enjoyed our time there.
History repeats itself as we an now confirm that in January we're returning home to Moorgate. With the team having already reached full-capacity at Devonshire Square, we're all set to head back to our old stomping ground, but this time into a twelve-man office! We'll be sure to share pictures of the space when we move in.
We do like to try and enjoy ourselves sometimes, though. During our first tenure at Moorgate, we were lucky enough to be amidst a World Cup fever, which resulted in us booking out meeting rooms to watch the games with friends and family. I think we put that down as team building. Other than that, highlights include competing in the CoinBurp Table Tennis League (you can find out who won that here) and attending the WeWork Creator Awards presented by Ashton Kutcher at London PrintWorks. We'll keep you updated with all our upcoming excursions as they happen.
